About Caroline
Caroline Kay is a Dublin-born Writer, Composer, and Performer, living in London. She has just released her third EP of original music, Overnight; she is Composer-Lyricist for a new musical being developed in New York which is due to premier in the states in 2025; and she has written Book, Music, & Lyrics for her own original musical, Daisy, which is in development for production.

After a Degree in Music and English at National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Caroline went on to complete a Masters in Musical Theatre Performance at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Since graduating, she has performed in off-West End musicals, West End concerts, studio album recordings, workshops, and more.

Caroline is passionate about creating her own work, and in 2017, at Auburn Jam Music Ltd., she recorded her first original EP, Notes, which, upon release, went straight to #1 in the Irish iTunes Album Charts, and worked its way to #2 in the U.K. Singer/Songwriter Album Charts.

After the success of Notes, Caroline went on to self-produce her debut solo gig, Notes & Other Stuff, in Dublin, Cork, New York City, and London (The Other Palace). In 2019, Caroline released her 2nd original EP, tricks, which again went to #1 in the Irish iTunes Album Charts. She went on to perform more solo gigs in London, at Live at Zedel, and again at The Other Palace.

During the Covid-19 lockdown, Caroline paired up (virtually) with West End Star, David Hunter, and together they wrote, recorded, and produced a mini musical, The Space Between, which is available to watch now on YouTube, and available as an EP on all music platforms to download or stream.
Caroline has also written an original Irish musical, Daisy, which is currently in pre-production. In the Summer of 2023 she released her third EP, Overnight, which went to #1 in the UK Singer-Songwriter Charts as well as the Irish iTunes Album Charts, and the first single from the EP, My Parents' New Car, amassed 10,000 streams within its first week. Caroline is excited to be Composer-Lyricist for a new musical, written specifically for Deaf West, which received an industry reading in New York in September 2023 and will premier in the States in 2025.
